History

Meet Our 2023-2024 Board

Board members are elected for a one year term.   Per our bylaws, a board member may serve a maximum of 2 years in the same position.

President

Nalia Brewster

I live and work in Bandon and have two younger children. I feel living so close to the ocean we need to be able to have access to swim lessons and water safety classes. Bandon is a growing community and is need of an indoor pool/facility for all ages to escape the elements. I had the pleasure of joining the pool board in early July 2019.

Vice President

Dustin Michalek

Secretary

Sally Smith-Weymouth (acting)

I have been a lifelong swimmer and lover of water sports and would love to have a pool as a regular part of my fitness routine. I joined the board in 2023 and am excited to work and partner with those who share the vision for a healthier Bandon population by supporting a community pool for all to enjoy.

Treasurer

Colleen Welch

A former youth group swimmer, I earned money for college by lifeguarding and teaching swim lessons.   As an adult, I’ve participated in triathlons and masters swimming.   I swim for fitness, and would love to be able to do that here in Bandon.

Now a retired SW engineer, I moved to Bandon in 2015 and joined the board as Secretary in 2019 and Treasurer in 2021.
